Summary of Position: To plan and oversee the delivery of psychiatric services, ensuring quality treatment services.
Education
Required: Board Certification in General Psychiatry; Completion of ACGME accredited Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training Program; Full unrestricted medical license issued by the Board of Registration in Medicine, in good standing
Preferred: Board Certification Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Experience
Required: Five + years in community mental health services delivery
Preferred: Direct related experience
Mental Abilities
Required: Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Physical Abilities
Required: Ability to travel to and from off-campus locations.
Ability to participate in TCI
Essential functions:
Direct provision of Psychiatric Services to clients in the programs.
Consult to disciplines and programs within the agency, as needed.
Participate with the multidisciplinary team in the development of a bio-psycho-social-educational formulation and treatment plan for clients.
Provide in-service training.
Facilitate case conferences.
Develop Mental Health Services Policy and Planning in conjunction with the administrative team.
In conjunction with agency leadership, take medical leadership role for any medical crisis/pandemic.
Consult with Nursing Director and Nursing staff.
Act as Liaison to community -based psychiatrists and physicians involved in the care of children in our programs.
Attend meetings as necessary for children on caseload, including medication reviews, case reviews, and IEP meetings.
Complete all necessary case paperwork in a timely manner.
Serve as a member of the Senior Administrative Team and Operations Management Team.
Serve as a member of the Board Professional Programs and Services Committee and Operational Services Oversight Committee, other committees as appropriate.
Meet with other agencies/agency personnel as outlined by the Executive Director.
Enrollment in Rhode Island Medicaid as an "Ordering, Prescribing, Referring Nonbilling Provider
All other duties, as assigned.
Supervision to be received: Supervision from the Sr. VP of Programs
Supervision to be exercised: Staff Psychiatrists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Director of Nursing
