Responsibilities
- Serve as a key medical communication liaison between the hospital and area leadership.
- Partner with the Practice Manager to manage the hospital as role models and champions of United Veterinary Care's brand to provide consistent high-quality care and unmatched client experience to the most pets and clients and to maximize efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Train the team on hospital guidelines and practices. Supervise and train the team to ensure compliance.
- Teach and coach on case management, exam room communication, annual reviews and excellent client service and monthly doctor meetings (refer to doctor meeting best practices document).
- Supports regular staff meetings and holds all staff accountable for knowing what has been discussed and how it impacts the health of the hospital.
- Sets the medical vision for the hospital, advocating and ensuring medical quality with optimum client experience.
- Works supportively with the hospital (practice) manager in understanding administrative and personnel issues while building effective teams.
- Engages associate veterinarians by developing talent, creating collaborative relationships, and delivering consistent results.
- Makes sound judgments and utilizes UVC leadership when needed.
Requirements - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
- Active, or ability to obtain, CA license in good standing to practice
