Medical Billing Specialist

Our Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for billing and follow up on medical claims. This position helps the team achieve revenue targets of the practice. Schedule Monday through Friday Hybrid (ability to work remotely a few days each week once trained) What You'll Do: Send claims, verify records attached to the claims, follow up on claim status Work on all appeals and adjustment postings, complete all patient postings Correct insurance claims and refunds due to insurance companies Answers calls and questions from insurance companies Sends statements monthly, working with Practice Manager on outstanding accounts Works with Practice Manager on monthly collections and claim goals Assist offices with insurance breakdowns, as needed Skills and Experience: High School Diploma or GED preferred Minimum of 2 year of medical billing experience required.
