Potential Inc's Medical Biller will process electronic and paper claims with precision, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in billing to primary and secondary insurance. Seamlessly posting payments and navigating denied claims to resolution, this role requires close attention to detail to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations. This role extends to obtaining and entering authorizations, credentialing providers, and estimating cost of service to guarantee billable services, making our Medical Biller a crucial part of the company's healthcare revenue cycle.

Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, accounting, or healthcare preferred
    • Certification in professional billing is a plus
  • Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including HMO/PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer requirements
  • Knowledge of medical terminology likely to be encountered in medical claims
  • Familiarity with the Central Reach system and proficiency in CPT and ICD-10 Coding
  • An understanding of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality as per HIPAA regulations
