Position Description

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Mechanical Technician to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and diagnostics on mechanical systems. You should have a strong knowledge of mechanical components and a keen eye for detail. You must also have excellent problem-solving and communication skills. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDES AND NOT EXCLUSIVE TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Wear and maintain personal protective equipment at all times while strictly adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Understand, follow and promote all company policies and procedures.
  • Clean and prepare work sites to eliminate possible hazards.
  • Read instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.
  • Work on utility systems as directed to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, and pneumatic power operations.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic problems as needed.
  • Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities.
  • Use equipment, power tools, and hands tools as designed and in a safe and effective manner.
  • Perform other job functions duties as directed by Maintenance Supervisor in a safe and effective manner.

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Education - High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Experience - 1 to 3 years mechanical or technical related experience with an emphasis in troubleshooting preferred.
  • Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, simple drawings, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, and leadership preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required to drive company truck to offsite locations.
