Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Mechanical Project Engineer to join our fast-paced Engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, from concept to completion, in a supportive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role will require a high level of technical expertise, as well as exceptional project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including conceptual design, development, execution, and closure.
  • Prepare, review, and approve mechanical engineering designs and modifications.
  • Manage project schedules and resources to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and oversee their work, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Process and manage RFI's, change orders, and other project documentation.
  • Utilize project management software such as Procore and Bluebeam to track project progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to engineering standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to safety regulations and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Engineering industry.
  • Proven experience in construction, RFI, change order, site management, Procore, Bluebeam, subcontractor management, and scheduling.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Proficient in the use of CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the Engineering industry.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
