Position: Mechanical Install Team Lead

Location: Lumberton, NC

Essential Job Functions

Plan, organize, and direct installation of pipe projects and equipment installations.

Ensure timely implementation of projects and maintenance schedules

Document project data, plan changes, and as-built plan updates.

Coordinate with internal and external personnel in the development of project requirements and operational needs, including but not limited to: civil, mechanical, structural, electrical and architectural.

Prepare Request for Proposals (RFP), Bid Documents and project updates.

Perform project take-offs and build project estimates

Review conceptual, design and as-built drawings with in house engineering team and customers.

Prepare submittal packages

Review and process outside vendor and contractor invoices and expenses associated with projects.

Demonstrate Safety aptitude and willingness to learn/be coachable.

Demonstrate the ability to read engineering drawings, flow sheets, equipment layout, piping drawings, civil plans, and electrical controls schematics.

Additional Job Functions

Manage customer accounts

Exhibit basic project management skills, including where appropriate, equipment and materials selection, contractor supervision, system startup and operational readiness procedures, and submittal / close-out documentation.

Act as a liaison between the Install Department and all other internal departments.

Organize and prioritize tasks coming into the Install Department from Sales and Service

Become familiar with multiple functions of in-house business software system.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Understanding of mechanical pipe design systems, and equipment installation

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook

Proficient in Microsoft Project

Skilled in the areas of interpersonal communication, organization, accuracy, and professional verbal and written communication

Must be able to maintain and protect the confidentiality of all company proprietary information and trade secrets

Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction from management

Ability to apply teamwork principles when working with company personnel

Must be able to work in industrial environments including extremes in temperature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.

Experience and Education Requirements

Degree in an Engineering Technology Curriculum Preferably AAS in Engineering Technology

2 + years of relevant work experience.

Knowledge of the Engineering & Construction Standards, Customer Service, Knowledge of Maintenance Programs, Budgeting and Financial Management.

Ability to prioritize and manage time wisely.

Ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

Possess good communication skills is a must (both verbal and written)
