Our dynamic and innovative manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Permanent Mechanical Inspector to join our team. We are in search of a professional who is driven by precision, quality, and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting mechanical parts, systems, and tools, ensuring they meet our rigorous quality standards and technical specifications. As a Permanent Mechanical Inspector, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the integrity of our products and contributing to our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct detailed inspections of mechanical components, systems, and tools using precision measuring tools and equipment.
2. Interpret and apply engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas.
3. Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications.
4. Use GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to check product dimensions, color, texture, and strength to locate imperfections.
5. Apply ASME Y14.5 standard as a reference guide for product inspection.
6. Prepare and deliver inspection reports, documenting inspection results, and recommending improvements.
7. Collaborate with the production team to discuss inspection results, technical issues, and process improvements.
8. Maintain inspection equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and in good working order.
9. Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Inspector or similar role in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proficient in using GD&T principles and familiar with ASME Y14.5 standard.
3. Strong knowledge of inspection techniques and the use of precision measuring equipment.
4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
5. Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of manual dexterity.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is a plus.
10. Certification in quality control is preferred.
