2nd shift - 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
$30.00 - $35.00 hour

Summary:
The Quality Mechanical Inspector will perform detailed and accurate mechanical inspections such as FAI's, Gage R&R, OQ, PQ, and IQ inspections to drawing requirements. This is a detail oriented position requiring accuracy and attention to detail. Knowledge in the use of computer aided touch probe and optical measuring equipment as well as calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc. is a must. Must be able to perform visual inspections to established standards.

Responsibilities

  • Take critical measurements using CMM, optical comparator, calipers, micrometers, tool maker's mic, gage blocks, gage pins, height stand, fixtures and other measurement tools per TechNH's inspection procedures
  • Perform CMM probe builds and calibrations
  • Develop, verify and modify CMM programs at the controls, prove-out the CMM programs to produce quality-compliant FAI's, CPK's, PQ's, OQ's and IQ's
  • Perform FAI, Gage R&R PQ, OQ and IQ inspections
  • Knowledge of standardized CMM fixturing and ability to design/procure fixturing based on part geometry
  • Expertise in performing GD&T measurement to verifying the compliance of detailed part components
  • Must maintain an accurate library of programs and written setup instructions for all CMM an OGP programs
Experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office software
  • Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, inspection reports and quality documentation relating to material or products
  • Previous CMM programming experience required with knowledge of Hexagon PCDMIS, OGP, etc.
  • Must have experience with optical comparators, tool mics, pin gages, etc.
  • Sound knowledge and expertise in performing GD&T measurements
  • Assist product engineers and manufacturing in the analysis of dimensional inspection data
  • Must be able to take direction well and competently carry out instructions
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a mechanical inspector
  • Minimum 2-3 years CMM experience and Hexagon PC-DMIS
  • Experience developing and verifying CNC programs on CMM and OGP
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T
  • Excellent presentation and reporting skills
  • Ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work well with engineers, shift supervisors and machine technicians
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a multi-discipline, collaborative environment
  • Experience in QMS/Regulatory
  • Must be US Citizenship or Permanent Residents due to ITAR regulations
