Mechanical Field Technician

Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $45.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits Our client located in the Alliance, Ohio area is seeking a Field Mechanical Technician with welding experience. The Mechanical Field Technician's key responsibilities are to travel to customer-owned facilities to inspect, repair, install, upgrade, and maintain their equipment. Perform various types of welds in various positions utilizing SMAW (stick) welding. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience in an industrial maintenance environment or Military experience. Must be a qualified welder in accordance with AWS D1.1 (or capable of becoming qualified) Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) Must have knowledge of industrial plant equipment and operating functions. Must be able to read mechanical and structural prints. Must have strong communication skills (Written & Verbal) Ability to interface with customers. Must be a team player. Must be able to work in high places. Must have a high attention to detail. Must be able to travel to client sites. Must possess a Valid driver's license with good driving record. Ability to work at times under extreme elements indoor and outdoor. Must be eligible to work various shifts if needed. Opportunity for extensive travel Travel required.
