Mechanical Engineer experienced in design and analysis for Military or Commercial Line Replaceable Equipment (LRU). Responsibilities include: Perform failure investigations, analyze product improvements, provide technical analysis for work transfers and review part discrepancies. Other deliverables include continuous improvement tools, developing work instructions / standard work, and following all regulatory company procedures including thorough recording of all work to ensure traceability.
Participate and complete actions by attending daily / weekly schedule / status meetings, or more frequently as deemed appropriate.
Skills required include:
Modeling and drawing generation experience (SolidWorks and/or NX).
Familiarity with aircraft Qualification and Regulatory requirements
Strong mechanical failure analysis, product design and report writing skills required.
Ability to work with all levels of engineering, and management personnel and capable of positively interacting in a team environment.
Familiarity with DO-160 or MIL-STD-810 is desirable
Familiarity with helicopter subsystems highly desirable
