Job Details

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Design Engineer to Join our Team. Successful candidates will be responsible for participating and leading the design and assisting with project management duties for Mechanical building systems, preparing detailed mechanical engineering design calculations and drawings of mechanical systems, from schematics through construction administration, on a wide range of building types. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with Engineering Consulting firm in Cleveland with experience performing Mechanical / HVAC Systems Design using AutoCAD or Revit. Projects consist of New and Existing facility upgrades for Commercial Building, Mixed Use, Higher Education, hotels, Life Sciences, Institutional, etc.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited University.
• EIT or PE License Preferred
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit Software to generate mechanical documents.
• 4 to 6 + years of experience in Mechanical HVAC System Design.
• HVAC load calculations and equipment selections for commercial building heating and cooling equipment.
• Air distribution design and hydronic system design for HVAC systems.
• Produce mechanical specifications for HVAC systems and designs.
• Research and comply with local, state, and federal mechanical and energy codes and standards.
• Effectively and proactively communicate with project managers, project engineers, and field foremen during the design, drafting, and construction process.
