As a Equipment Layout Designer, you will be responsible for designing and modeling equipment layouts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to design standards and specifications. Key Responsibilities:


Design equipment layouts, incorporating pumps, motors, pressure vessels, manifolds, filters, piping, valves, electric controls, and system enclosures.

Utilize CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, to model equipment based on specifications, drawings, and customer submittals.

Promote design standards, design-for-manufacturing principles, and cost-sensitive criteria throughout the design process.


Specify standards of construction for major components such as structural bases and enclosures, collaborating with vendors and professional engineers as needed.

Develop and maintain knowledge of various system layouts and configurations, with a focus on promoting product standardization and re-use of legacy designs.


Monitor project progress against schedule and ensure personal tasks are completed on time.

Foster open communication, build strong relationships, and be recognized as a trusted individual within the team.

Requirements:


Minimum Associate Degree, preferably in mechanical engineering technology.

Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with experience in SolidWorks preferred. AutoCAD 2D experience is a plus.

Experience designing custom engineered products.

Knowledgeable in fluid hydraulics, including valves, flow meters, pressure gauges, and filters.

Ability to create custom engineered product designs, select appropriate components, and ensure required system performance.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to efficiently handle multiple projects simultaneously.


Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and strong computer skills.

Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to lead project meetings, present to small groups, and communicate with customers.
