Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished and experienced Senior Mechanical Designer to lead the design efforts for pressure vessels, boilers, furnaces, and welded structures. The individual in this position will play a pivotal role in the continued growth of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Lead the conceptualization, design, and analysis of complex industrial equipment, with a focus on pressure vessels, boilers, furnaces, and welded structures, ensuring adherence to industry codes and standards.

Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create intricate 3D models and detailed 2D drawings for manufacturing and assembly processes.

Conduct in-depth engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate and optimize design concepts, ensuring structural integrity and safety.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, manufacturing, and quality control, to oversee and ensure the successful execution of design projects.

Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Lead design reviews, offering strategic insights and innovative solutions to enhance the performance, efficiency, and reliability of industrial equipment.

Stay abreast of industry trends, codes, and regulations, integrating them into the design process.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

8+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design, showcasing expertise in large industrial equipment.

Proficiency in advanced CAD software, particularly SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

In-depth knowledge and application of industry codes and standards, such as ASME and AWS, related to pressure vessels, boilers, furnaces, and welded structures.

Extensive experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and other engineering analysis tools.

Proven leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor a team effectively.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to work independently or collaboratively.

Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and clients.
