A bit about us:

We are a rapidly growing company backed by private equity investors, seeking an experienced and skilled A-Grade Mechanic to join our team. As an A-Grade Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and functionality of our equipment and vehicles.

This organization maintains a fleet of sweepers, dump trucks, flatbed trucks, pickup trucks, trailers, attenuators, and various other support equipment. The ideal "A" tech has experience maintaining off road equipment, trash trucks or sweepers, as well as experience maintaining 26,000+ on road vehicles. CDL license also required.

This is a 9-5 shift with some flexibility in scheduling; overtime as needed. The A-Grade Mechanic must have their own 1&3/4" sockets and wrenches.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and equipment
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues
  • Performing preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity of our assets
  • Keeping detailed records of maintenance and repairs
  • Inspecting and testing vehicles and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards
  • Collaborating with other team members to address technical issues
  • Participating in training and professional development opportunities to stay current with industry best practices

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified A-Grade Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
