The Local Team Member supports local materials team operations, up-to and including AS/RS feeding to support production (to meet manning requirements), receive/respond to CAR (corrective actions from QC Dept), secure OSD scrap parts or materials, oversee contamination control procedures and oversee external warehouse control operations. The local team member communicates and cooperates with Management team / Warehouse members to ensure department operates efficiently.

Essential Functions

Technical:

  • Generate and understand daily reporting regarding Contamination control, OSD scrap security, Corrective action response from QC Dept, Satellite warehouse operations
  • Ability to support LP operation during staffing shortage(Load parts for feeding to assembly or machine operations)
  • Understand inventory control, JIT, JIS concepts and apply the concept into the process of operation
  • Enforce, Document, and confirm 5s standards and findings
  • Demonstrates an active understanding of processes, procedures, standards and methods in warehousing
  • Ability to work and cooperate with local management team to meet job requirements
  • Works safely and efficiently in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to be flexible, adapt to changing job demands and manager's request
  • Follow and contribute to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Exhibits clear competency when performing the roles and responsibilities in specific job duty
  • Works well with others and promote a positive team-orientated work environment
  • Ability to operate forklift safely and efficiently within tight work areas
  • Understand OSND scrap process

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical demands also at times may include safely handling multiple, continuous parts flow in and out of finished goods storage which requires part handling using an air hoist and fixture. Work environment is climate controlled in most areas.

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • 1 year manufacturing job related experience required (Automotive Manufacturing preferred)

Other Information

  • Rotate shifts (Mandatory)
  • OT required as needed, which includes weekends
