Job Title: Onsite Job - Material Planner/Scheduler
Location: Athens GA
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Max Pay : $29/hr to $35/hr on W2


Position comments:

Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Onsite in the Athens office


Job Description :

Responsible for setting up parameters in the material master for both purchased and manufactured parts as well as setting up purchasing documents for purchased materials including assisting with contracts (LTA) and order creation.

We are looking for a Planner to join our dynamic and ambitious team.

You will be responsible for working with suppliers to schedule deliveries in support of our production schedules, handling supplier OTD and WIP levels in accordance with financial targets.

You are expected to support all improvement activities, such as material presentation to production, warehouse layout activities.


Responsibilities :

• Plan, order and expedite material to support production schedules

• Use MRP and/or visual management tools to ensure continuous supply of material

• Issue timely releases to suppliers and confirm supplier acknowledgment of releases

• Communicate and mitigate any material shortages

• Manage planning parameters to minimize excess & obsolete exposure

• Lead change thru participation in improvement activities


Required Skill Set :

Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing or Engineering with 3 + years or Associate degree in Business, Manufacturing or Engineering discipline with 8+ years experience
Materials and/or Purchasing experience.
Comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing environment required.
Quick learner with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Strong sense of urgency and follow through.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Experience working within an MRP system (JDE-Oracle preferred).
CPIM or CPM a plus.
