Only qualified Meteorologist candidates located in the Danville, CA area will be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence


We are seeking a qualified Meteorologist for to assist in the Client Operational Weather Office - Weather Forecast duties.


Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) Meteorology/Atmospheric Science


• 5-7 years' related work experience


• Ability to quickly identify and respond to anomalous weather environments


• Demonstrated experience with weather forecasting and tools


• Proven expertise in meteorology, including California weather and microclimates


• Detailed understanding of relevant weather statistics and prediction indicators


• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in high-pressure environments


• Experience in operational planning and execution


• Familiarity with communications systems and computer networking


• Experience authoring technical documentation and training materials


• Working proficiency using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Project, etc.)


• Any prior utility or emergency management experience a plus


• Previous fire weather experience a plus
