Department: Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Student Research Assistant, under general supervision, will engage in a guided approach to hypothesis driven research activities related to environmental soil chemistry; willing to perform research focused on improvements in agricultural practices; Willingness to perform literature searches, work independently in a laboratory setting, collect data, contribute to dissemination of information at local, state and national conferences as well as for peer reviewed manuscripts. Responsibilities: Perform field work. Conduct lab experiments. Preparation of reports. Preparation for conferences. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a B.S. in engineering, agriculture, ecology or related science with a minimum GPA of 2.7 and GRE of 290 + (verbal + quantitative) for GRE exams. Minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based test), 213 (computer-based test) or 79 (internet-based test) is required for admission to the graduate program. Applicants are evaluated on the basis of undergraduate grades, letters of recommendation, immunization records, GRE scores, a resume, and a statement of purpose.
