Position Summary:

The Master Plumber will install and maintain the pipes, valves, fittings, fixtures, and drainage systems throughout the facility and in production of modular units and provides oversight/direction to plumbing technicians. Works in conjunction with other skilled trades in manufacturing the modular units in the production facility.

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborates with employees concerning work orders, prints, and sketches to understand the structure that needs to be built or repaired.
  2. Estimates equipment, tool, and material requirements for each job.
  3. Installs and repairs plumbing, drains, and fixtures in modular units.
  4. Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
  5. Ensures piping complies with codes.
  6. Responds to, diagnose, and resolve plant plumbing emergencies.
  7. Performs routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems in the plant.
  8. Operates all necessary tools to complete a job.
  9. Ensures tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
  10. Ensures the accuracy of work by checking completed projects.
  11. Measures, marks, and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
  12. Always adheres to safety protocols and follows policies and procedures.
Other:

  1. Regular and predictable attendance within the Ginosko-assigned facilities.
  2. Other duties as assigned by Management.
Education/Certification/Licensing/Experience Requirements:

  1. Education : High School Diploma/GED, completion of a formal apprenticeship program required, associate degree preferred.
  2. Experience : At least three years' experience as a licensed plumber, previous experience working with diverse populations preferred.
  3. Certificates & Licenses : Master Plumbing license.
  4. Other Requirements : Strong stakeholder service skills. Exceptional dedication to dependability and punctuality. Strong work ethic. Ability to engage a team toward a common mission. Additional abilities required:
  • Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
  • Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems and drainage.
  • Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
  • Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
  • Ability to solve mathematical problems and conversion of measurements quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
  • Works well as part of a team.
