Northern Light Health Department: Property Management Position is located: Cianchette Professional Blding Work Type: Full Time Hours Per Week: 40.00 Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Summary: The primary responsibilities of this position includes the installation, operation, testing and maintenance of all different types of the electrical distribution and equipment systems in several Bangor area buildings. This includes electrical transformers and panels, emergency generators, HVAC controls, fire alarm systems, emergency call systems, card access systems and security systems. This job also includes assisting the Maintenance Manager with overseeing electrical contractors during the construction phases of new projects. Responsibilities: Use team approach when working with other facilities staff to solve problems and assist all members in completing assigned task. Attends all scheduled facilities departmental education programs and in-services. Attends all scheduled engineering programs. Assists the Maintenance Manager overseeing of electrical equipment in new projects. Accepts other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Will take extra initiative when performing assigned tasks to immediately report or correct a related issue outside of the present task. To operate all shop power and hand tools, electrical meters and testing equipment in a safe manner. Keep tools in a safe, clean and secure condition Attend all training sessions for use of tools and equipment To maintain all electrical shop work areas in a clean and safe manner. To keep all mechanical/electrical rooms clean, orderly and safe. To report any unsafe conditions within electrical or mechanical rooms to the manager. Reports inventory usage and needs to the manager as needed. Helps manager access inventory needed to complete a project or task. To operate various electrical equipment including power and lighting circuits, alarm systems, card access systems, emergency generator and circuits, various medical equipment, and electric motors. Will do regular scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment and document activities with appropriate records. Will do regular scheduled preventive inspections of electrical systems and equipment to observe and report operating conditions. Will supply electrical service and/or electrical apparatus to make a complete system installed in a neat manner and according to latest national electrical code. To monitor and inspect the installation of electrical systems by outside contractors. Must be willing to work in multiple locations. Must be able to perform tasks on off hours as needed. Working with the Maintenance Manager to find energy saving methods of electrical equipment.
