PRN opportunity Massage Therapist needed for hospice patients in West Michigan. $35 per visit + $0.58 per mile/mileage Schedule: Mon - Fri,
weekend hours are available if preferred Job Summary A licensed Massage Therapist (MT) administers Massage therapy to patients in their place of residence and is performed in accordance with physician orders and IDG plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Administrator.
Qualifications- Currently licensed, state certified, or registered or licensed as a massage therapist in the state and in good standing with the state Certification by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and/or Massage Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEX).
- Graduated after successful completion of a Massage Therapy education program from a credentialed educational institution
- Two (2) years experience, preferred.
- Acceptance of philosophy and goals of Hospice.
- Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment.
Responsibilities- Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures
- Provides Massage Therapy to patient and or primary care giver as prescribed by the physician and IDG
- Improves or minimizes residual physical disabilities of the patient
- Participates with all other health care personnel in patient IDG care planning.
- Consults with physicians and IDG regarding change in treatment
- Participates in in-service programs and presents in-service programs as assigned.
- Participates in QAPI activities as assigned.
- Attends all patient care conferences as scheduled.
- Prepares clinical and progress notes.
- Helps develop the plan of care and revise as necessary.
- Consults with family and Hospice personnel.
Work Environment: Works indoors in Hospice office and patient homes and travels to/from patient homes. Mileage paid at $0.58 per mile.
