Title: Marine Construction Foreman

Job Description:

We are seeking a Marine Construction Foreman to oversee and coordinate construction activities for our marine projects, including floating docks, bulkheads, fixed docks, marinas, rip rap, boat ramps, piling, and water control structures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in marine construction and a proven track record of leading teams to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Construction Crew:
    • Lead and direct a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and equipment operators.
    • Assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Safety Management:
    • Enforce safety protocols and regulations on the job site to prevent accidents and injuries.
    • Conduct safety briefings and inspections, addressing any safety concerns promptly.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure that construction activities meet quality standards and specifications.
    • Conduct inspections and quality checks throughout the construction process.
  • Schedule Coordination:
    • Coordinate with the project manager to develop and maintain construction schedules.
    • Monitor progress and adjust work plans as needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Material and Equipment Management:
    • Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to the job site.
    • Maintain inventory records and ensure proper storage and utilization of materials and equipment.
  • Communication:
    • Serve as a liaison between the construction crew, project manager, subcontractors, and clients.
    • Communicate project updates, issues, and changes effectively to all stakeholders.

  • Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in marine construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
    • Strong knowledge of marine construction methods, materials, and equipment.
    • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
    • Proficiency in basic computer skills.
