Overview: The LG Energy Solution-Honda joint venture has partnered with Rose International for Direct hire recruiting services for this role.


Summary:

As a Manufacturing Systems Manager, you ll play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing production processes within a manufacturing environment. Your primary responsibility is to ensure efficient production while meeting company standards. You ll manage the workforce, set production goals, and monitor product quality.


Responsibilities:


• Production Management

o Plan, organize, and ensure manufacturing processes meet production targets.

o Monitor production output and quality; taking appropriate actions as necessary

o Plan and manage the workforce and allocate resources effectively


• Resource Allocation

o Coordinate with other departments to ensure adequate resources (e.g., materials, equipment) are available to support production for both short/long-term.


• Quality Assurance

o Create vision, oversee planning and Implementation for quality control measures to ensure products meet company standards.


• Process Optimization

o Ensure proper planning and execution to continuously improve manufacturing workflows.

o Deploy appropriate methods to effectively resolve production delays and optimize facility layouts and production lines.


• Personnel Management

o Set appropriate goals for assigned area and effectively manage associate performance and development

o Engage associates in safe manufacturing practices.


• Cost Control

o Incorporate cost control policies to manage expenses and maximize efficiency.


Education/Experience:


• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Engineering or another related field


• 7+ Years of experience in information technology.


• SAP ERP Base SCM/Manufacturing/Purchasing/Logistic related IT operation experience


• Manufacturing Execution System Admin Experience (Assembly/Auto/Display/etc.)


Knowledge/Skills:


• Manufacturing Processes: In-depth understanding of assembly, automation, and quality control.

o Ability to support all systems when failures and problems occur.

o Knowledge of launching a new plant system


• ERP Systems: Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for resource planning and inventory management.


• Technical Aptitude: Knowledge of electromechanical systems and maintenance management systems (CMMS).

o Knowledge on performing process innovation.

o Ability to do new factory setup management.


• Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills and effective communication.


• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve production-related issues promptly.


• Safety Compliance: Knowledge of safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.


• MS Office tool-based report writing and oral communication skills.


• Bilingual skills, writing and speaking, in English and Korean are preferred, but not required.

• This role may require up to 5-10% of travel (domestic)
