Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Support Specialist will report directly to the Department's Production Manager and is expected to work with Safety, Quality, Process Engineering, Planning, and Manufacturing to identify and consolidate all kinds of CAPEX and OPEX needs in the production process. The Specialist will also be responsible for regularly verifying the budget and placing orders for optimal quantities in a timely manner.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the departments' supply chain coordinator; review and analyze production plans to maintain proper inventory
  • Assist Production Managers with workforce optimization and scheduling, including maintenance of accurate records of material stock and work in progress
  • Ensure a secure and safe work environment by supporting Management on various tasks such as PPE management, training, JSRA's, and supply management
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal abilities, effectively engaging with individuals at various organization levels
  • Departmental representative for meetings, presenting on various KPI's and communicating relevant information back to the department
  • Detail-orientated self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work at a quick pace
  • Perform other position related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • High School Diploma
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required

Preferred:

  • Higher Education Degree in Engineering or other related fields
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably Automotive
  • Familiarity with visual KPI dashboard tools and automation
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • Ability to analyze data to drive continuous improvement projects

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicals
  • Ability to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job function
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
