Nesco Resources is looking for a Director or Manufacturing Operations at their client in Wallingford CT for a direct hire full time opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Make recommendations to the Executive Vice President & CEO as to the need for human and or capital resources to support the objectives of the Manufacturing Department
  • Maintain an effective capital improvement program and continue the integrity of a Manufacturing ERP, including Industry 4.0.
  • Maintain a preventative maintenance program and ensure its compliance in their respective departments
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures to provide training to all Manufacturing Department personnel on an ongoing basis.
  • Coordinates workflow with department supervisors and leads to set daily/weekly/monthly goals.
  • Plan, implement and maintain effective controls on production processes as needed to meet customer requirements.
  • Develop or implement production tracking or quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, or other operational reports to detect production problems.
  • Communicate clear expectations to all direct reports in meeting overall company objectives.
  • Implement and enforce all environmental, health, safety, and security programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Ensure the highest standards for product quality through the production process.
  • Maintain traceability of product throughout all production processes.
  • Maintain facilities adequate to ensure the manufacture of products to requirements and for the storage and handling of raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
  • Organize and manage Production Department to ensure on time delivery of products to customers as per company goals.
  • Maintain an effective scrap reduction program.
  • Perform technical analysis to determine root cause for corrective action in response to corrective action requests related to defects traced to Manufacturing Department errors.
  • Provide direct supervision to Production Control Manager, Manufacturing Supervisor, and Lead personnel as well as the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Ensure a comprehensive continuous improvement program to achieve operational excellence throughout the organization.
  • Establish metrics and follow KPI's to measure the success of continuous improvement initiatives and report progress to CEO/President.
