Position Overview:
In this newly created position, the Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead and optimize our client's production processes. As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing manufacturing strategies, improving processes, managing budgets, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in manufacturing engineering, and a proven track record of successful project management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively, including budgets, personnel, and equipment
  • Lead process validation exercises to confirm cycle times, labor requirements, tooling, work instructions and other assumptions to ensure a smooth production ramp up
  • Oversee the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and equipment
  • Establish and optimize factory layout and floor plans for efficient workflow and resource utilization
  • Develop comprehensive manufacturing processes, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards
  • Lead development of work instructions and documentation for manufacturing processes to ensure consistency and facilitate training
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new manufacturing setups, considering cost-effectiveness and resource utilization
  • Lead the implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies and automation systems to enhance production capabilities
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to manufacturing processes, including standard operating procedures, process flowcharts, and equipment specifications
  • Conduct regular assessments of manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Manage the successful implementation of the selected MES System and related hardware on the production line
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and reduce costs

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BS in Engineering or related field, MS preferred
  • Proven experience in Manufacturing Engineering
  • 2+ years in leadership role
  • Large assembly manufacturing
  • Experience with Systems in stable environment
  • Systems experience with ERP, MES, and PLM
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing process, automation, quality control
  • Must have the energy and flexibility for a startup environment
