TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer, Extrusion

We are looking for a manufacturing engineer who has at least four years of experience working with extrusion
This newly created role is open due to growth and will be a key member of our team that will be developing our next generation of products.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design new products from an extrusion standpoint with a focus on overall efficiency
  
• Support manufacturing operations by improving overall equipment effectiveness
  
• Play a key role in investigating defective products then perform root cause analysis to figure out the issue and perform recommendations on how to fix the defects
  
• Assist with design reviews
  
• Assist with the research, purchasing and procurement of new manufacturing equipment
  
• Utilize CAD programs to create designs when needed
  
• Develop cost models and perform time studies
  
• Mentor, coach, and help develop 4+ junior-level engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is a plus but is not required
  Experience is more important than education for this
  
• 5+ years in a similar role.
• 2+ years of experience being a subject matter expert on your team with regard to polymers, chemistry, etc
  
• Must understand lean principles
  Six Sigma Green Belt + is preferred but not required as experience is more important than the certificate
  
• Desire to mentor up-and-coming engineers.
