Learn more about us (3) LER TechForce: Life LinkedIn What you will be doing:Develop manufacturing processes based on customer blueprints and specifications.Troubleshoot process problems and provide technical support to manufacturing to ensure the on-time production of investment castings that meet the highest quality standards at the lowest possible cost.Utilize process knowledge, basic engineering principles, previous experience, and creativity as necessary to develop processes that result in the production of quality castings that conform to customer specifications and timetables.Evaluate new product specifications, customer requirements, and results of production trials/tests and supports advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) & Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to help ensure timely launch of new products.Participate in plant initiatives to support the reduction of scrap, rework, and overall casting cost. Initiatives include but are not limited to daily scrap reviews and participation in cost improvement teams.Participate in training and projects to create and maintain continuous improvements in products, processes, and quality.Establish procedures, guidelines, work instructions.Training of production operators in process to ensure safe, efficient operation, understanding of the process and the relationship to quality and cost. What you'll need to be successful:Essential:B/S in Metallurgical, Materials or Chemical Engineering or other related fields of experienceCasting experience is strongly preferred.Well-developed computer knowledge/skills (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.)Well-developed computer 2D, 3D design skill (AUTO CAD, SOLID Works, CATIA)Working knowledge of typical casting defects and 'appearance' standards, as well as cost reduction initiatives is strongly preferred.What you'll get:Full benefits: medical, dental, vision12 Holidays/120 hrs.
