Job Description:
Our client is seeking an energetic and goal-oriented individual to join their team as a Manufacturing Engineer. This is a salaried position and a successful candidate will be responsible for the development of new/modified processes to improve quality, material yields, efficiencies and throughput in all processes within the plant production area.
Additionaly, this position will be responsible for working with department managers to improve the process flow and to eliminate waste within each department, and to achieve and increase production output goals.
This is an integrated hands-on role. The improvements and flow changes will all need to be updated in plant layouts using AutoCAD. The successful candidate will implement and facilitate associate training related to the projects on which they work, including Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and new product/equpiment training. One will also assist in maintaiing a safe work environment.
Desired Background:
Bachelor's Degree, preferrably in Engineering or Engineering technology OR an Associate's degree with three (3) years of manufacturing experience.
Detail oriented, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be computer literate, and enjoy working in a hands-on engineering environment.
