We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Conneaut, Ohio Plant.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating, documenting, developing, and implementing procedures used to process, assemble, test and/or manufacture of Teijin's products.
  • Define production process parameters to ensure products meet customer specifications.
  • Create documentation for production support and data collection.
  • Part of team that approves new product designs for production.
  • Assesses and approves new product tooling for production.
  • Reviews and authorizes new product processes for production.
  • Initiates and maintains "open items" tracking system for new products.
  • Attends all tooling tryouts at the tooling vendors.
  • Coordinates all tooling tryouts at the manufacturing facility.
  • Participates in obtaining PSW approvals on new products.
  • Continuously improve processes utilizing synchronous and lean manufacturing techniques to improve labor efficiencies and quality.
  • Must have proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, AutoCAD)
  • Must have very strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Must have very strong communication skills (verbal & written)

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a closely related discipline.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably automotive).
