Manual Machinist

Hourly Rate: $24.85 - $27.23/HR - $1.50 shift premium - Permanent Position with Benefits. Avon Manufacturing Company is seeking a Machinist. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED required 4-year Class A apprenticeship 1-2 years' work experience beyond the apprenticeship Knowledge of blueprint reading Knowledge of tool room equipment Knowledge in the use of precision instruments Demonstrated math skills Knowledge of metal properties and abrasives Knowledge of the manufacturing process at overview level Knowledge of mechanical processes Shift hours - 3:30pm - 12:00am - OT as needed DUTIES: Operating electronic or other machinery Regulating speed of machinery (other than transport) Adjusting machines Setting up equipment or machinery for operation Cleaning or oiling machinery Adjusting focus of visual device Operating machine controls (other than transport) Stopping machinery at precise point indicated Examine machinery/equipment to check working order Regular checking of machinery for maintenance Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
