Qualifications and responsibilities for this Electrical Engineer opportunity include:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering and design of building electrical systems in a healthcare setting
- Engineer in Training (EIT) having taken the FE exam, working toward licensure
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM; Working knowledge of lighting and electrical load analysis software
- Knowledge of local, state, and national code requirements, including key industry standards such as NFPA 99, FGI Guidelines for Hospitals and Outpatient Facilities, and NFPA 45
- Familiarity with the USGBC LEED Rating system and standards is a plus
- Design and check electrical systems drawings for technical correctness and compliance with applicable standards and codes, including knowledge of the National Electric Code and IBC
- Conduct site surveys, energy audits, attend project meetings, and support field construction, while ensuring project adherence to departmental standards, client requirements, and budget
