Managing Consultant

Job : Job Description: Apex is seeking a lead wi th strong consultative skills to act as a Solutions Delivery Lead as art of our Apex Systems Solutions Delivery Organization. Solution Capabilities group is seeking a highly motivated, inherently curious, results oriented solution architect to be the technical advisor and technical advocate for our clients and our delivery execution team.
This role will be part of the sales and delivery cycles by partnering with clients to define their technical vision and end-to-end solution, as well as deliver on the solution. You will provide thought leadership, subject matter expertise for end-to-end solutions in modernizing and integrating applications and provide guidance throughout the engagement delivery, including at times being partially billable. Overall, the target will be 50% on sales and 50% on delivery.
Responsibilities
•   Support sales and business development by helping in bid and proposal efforts by providing architectural technical guidance on a proposed solution, work effort estimation, and technical proposal documentation.
•   Assist in enterprise level technical assessments for clients, recommending best-in-class technology solutions, industry trends, and best practices to modernize applications.
•   Identify and support implementation during the execution phase and provide high level oversight to ensure successful delivery of the overall technical solution for the client
•   Partner with the account team to respond to functional and technical elements of RFI/RFP and proposal estimates for clients across all industries that Apex supports.
•   Create Apex Intellectual Property, write white papers, and create demos for incubation of new and emerging technologies
•   Attend and represent Apex at technical conferences that will further build partnerships and/or gain certifications for partnership enhancement
•   Demonstrate willingness to eliminate sales obstacles using creative and adaptive approaches
•   Create development deliverable templates as needed for repeatable and re-usable project execution
•   Continuously stay on top of technology trends and develop expertise in emerging technologies to enable innovative development
•   Build client and community relationships and represent Apex Systems as leaders in Industry and Professional events and communities. Develop and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships.
•   Ensure all team members understand scrum theory, practices, rules and values while being the servant leader of the team, facilitating team ceremonies.
•   Develop project plans, manage project resources effectively, and adhere to budgetary requirements
•   Lead and oversee team day-to-day work priorities and help communicate these to the team and stakeholders
•   Manage project deadlines, and adapt a project roadmap to get it back on track if needed
•   Develop engagement roadmap and any related reporting for client delivery
•   Demonstrate professional level consulting skills, leadership skills, and presentation skills while being adaptable and flexible to acquire skills to meet business needs.
•   Continually innovate, seek creative solutions, and find new ways of adding value. Listen and seek to understand the client and meet their needs, providing consultative guidance.
•   Stay attuned to the future needs of the client and work with internal resources to identify opportunities. Proactively provide solutions and approach adversity with a solution-focused mindset.
Requirements
•   Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
•   Have 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering roles including software architecture and full stack development.
•   Strong interpersonal skills , both written and oral, and an ability to communicate complex ideas to all levels of the business
•   Available to travel to visit clients as needed (
•   Working knowledge of web and mobile application platforms
•   Experience managing engagements with backend development design and implementation for both Microsoft and Java tech stack
•   Experience managing engagements with microservices, integration software, and API management
•   Experience managing engagements in responsive web front end / single page application development using modular JavaScript including applications targeted for mobile devices
•   Desire to learn, grow and be a part of our expanding and dynamic Team
•   Deep experience with communications and/or stakeholder engagement activities, such as developing communications plans, talking points, and/or presentation materials
•   Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Teams, Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Project
