Design improvement strategy, coordinate resources, roll-out execution and monitor performance for major improvement projects in alignment with General Management and global Operational Standards. Define overall CI roadmap matching operational needs with annual strategic objectives. Leads New business development activities to ensure smooth startup operations. Thought leader capable of driving sustainable improvements to create value through the utilization of LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies. Analyze material and information flows for operations units in the region to help identify opportunities for Engineers to implement improvements in productivity, material consumption, other operation expenses, quality, safety and space utilization. Will quantify the effects of improved processes, work flows and aforementioned opportunities and will make documented proposals for improvements to include creating SOPs and Process Standardization. Will communicate with unit management on implementation of changes, supporting management and associates in the overall change process. Train and build capability in all levels of the plant regarding lean manufacturing specifically as it relates to working with TPS Toyota production system as it relates to use of pull system to avoid overproduction, load balancing, implementation of visual controls, continuous improvement culture. Secure relevance and availability of Gate Gourmet Production System roadmaps and blueprints and participate on cross-fertilization with other sites/areas working in a Just in Time Manufacturing environment. Perform diagnostics on major cost drivers (material, labor and OOC) as well as plan and assist unit management and associates in productivity, material waste, safety and quality improvement initiatives. Make documented proposals for improvements and syndicate with kitchens management on implementation of changes, supporting management and associates in the overall change process and actively practice change management and participate in the Units performance management system and dialogue ensuring ISO standards, SOPs are followed. Will travel 10% to other company worksites to support other units in same core function.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and two (2) years of (pre or post degree) experience in the job offered or related. Experience must have included Project Management; Change Management; Use of Lean Manufacturing Tools including value stream Mapping, FMEA, 5S, PDCA, Kaizen and SIPOC; Working in a Just in Time Manufacturing environment; Creating SOPs and Process Standardization; Ensuring ISO standards and SOPs are followed; and Working with TPS (Toyota Production System) as it relates to use of pull system to avoid overproduction, load balancing, implementation of visual controls, continuous improvement culture.
Requires Bachelors (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
