The Position
This position is responsible for monitoring and assessing the on-going healthcare reform changes, PhaRMA and industry responses, and state-level transparency initiatives. This includes proactively identifying risk, financial modeling, providing findings and key insights to leadership, and supporting strategy development.
Relationships
Reports to the Associate Director, Pricing & Policy Insights. Works and partners closely with other team members in Pricing Insights; Public Affairs - Policy; Government Pricing & Compliance; Strategy and Innovation; Market Access; Investor Relations; Finance; Brand Marketing; Other Novo Nordisk internal departments such as Legal, Sales, etc. External relationships include field Account Executives and Directors, Novo Nordisk AS, professional associations, vendors, and customers.
Essential Functions
Evaluates Healthcare Reform/legislative changes from both a financial and strategic perspectiveStrategic partner with PA - Policy team to stay up to date on federal policy changes and help guide the thinking on prioritization & recommendation on potential legislative changesStrategic partner with legal/compliance to stay up to date on state level policy changesAssesses compliance and state reporting requirements with regard to price increases, launches, and price transparency reportingThorough understanding of Inflation Reduction ActDrive organizational awareness and understanding of political environment & financial riskAssists in preparing any pricing/policy related analysis for investor relations questions as well as investor roadshowsCollaborates with government pricing team to provide inputs in order to assess all potential pricing changes on government calculations (e.g. URA, 340B)Analyzes the impact on pricing decisions on ARP/profitability and provides guidance to key stakeholderPartner with Strategy & Innovation to provide pricing analytics/insights for strategy evaluation & guidance on future outlookOwns analysis for Risk Report and investor relations documentServe as a key lead with legal & compliance on various workgroupsDevelops scenario impact models on pricing and profitability within key channels.Develops presentations for senior management (StC, Pricing Committee, etc)Serve as key point with legal on congressional inquiries along with any additional pricing and policy related legal requestsSupports business and analytical expertise in the development of tools and methods that will result in more accurate customer profitability assessment and decision-making.Provides ad hoc analyses as requiredPhysical Requirements

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred. Requires a minimum of six (6) years of experience, with a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in either pricing, forecasting, consulting, contracting, portfolio analysis and/or finance and reporting. Pharmaceutical experience preferred. Advanced degree may be substituted for experience when appropriateA strong level of analytical, quantitative, and qualitative analysis skillsAbility to deliver message and presentations in a clear, confident mannerDemonstrated leadership skills.
