We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This exciting role offers the opportunity to oversee the preparation of external financial reports and manage the technical accounting function of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEC reporting and be well-versed in US GAAP. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information, making it a key leadership role within our finance department.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual reports filed with the SEC, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and other related filings.
2. Research, analyze, and conclude on new and proposed accounting, reporting, and disclosure standards issued by the SEC and FASB, and prepare memorandums regarding the Company's position and impact on the Company.
3. Collaborate with the finance and accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and lead the efforts in improving processes and controls.
4. Manage communications with external auditors on external financial statements and accounting issues to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on accounting disclosures and issues.
5. Provide technical accounting guidance and support to all company departments in the research and resolution of accounting issues, implementation of new accounting standards and compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of corporate accounting policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of internal control over financial reporting.
7. Lead or assist in special projects such as process improvements, system implementations or other corporate initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
2. Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
3. Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
4. Proven experience with SEC reporting, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and other related filings.
5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Experience with accounting software and systems, and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
9. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment requiring timely completion of tasks.
