Job Description: Exciting opportunity at MSK: Join our team as a Manager, Faculty Staff Affairs. We're looking for a dynamic professional to manage divisional programs and initiatives, program management and administration, planning and development and lead a team of project coordinators and administrative assistants.

Role Overview:
  • Provide leadership, day-to-day operational oversight, and management for the Project Coordinator Team, which supports the academic activities of the research enterprise.
  • Partner with Director to develop departmental policies and operations enhancements, ensuring procedures maintain optimal standards and efficiency.
  • Identify and perform analyses to support and enhance program planning.
  • Lead or collaborate on departmental initiatives through interactions with all levels of leadership & management, including but not limited to Academic Administration, Immigration, and HR.
  • Provide training, direction, and development for team in the areas of project coordination and reporting, faculty recruitment, onboarding, and promotion, seminar and retreat planning, and professional development.
  • Provide program-level management of faculty appointments and promotions, faculty recruitment efforts, and special projects.
Key Qualifications:
  • 4-7 years of related research or administrative experience; project management experience preferred.
  • Experience implementing process improvements, as well as overseeing and developing centralized resources.
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience is preferred.

Learn more about the Office of Scientific Research Management: The Office of Scientific Research Management works with the SKI Director and Program Chairs in the development and execution of strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure that SKI achieves its research mission. We are a central source of information about SKI's administrative policies, and direct and coordinate operational and administrative affairs related to laboratory research. We provide support in the following areas: faculty recruitment and onboarding, academic appointments and promotions, seminars and retreat planning, space resource planning, extramural research and training relationships, training and development of the lab administrative staff and postdoctoral staff.
