We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Client Development Manager to join our Global Life Sciences Client Development team. The ideal candidate is a seasoned business development professional, adept at forging new connections, fostering client growth, and executing initiatives with a keen strategic mindset. This individual should excel at analyzing data for client targeting and pursuits, as well as possess the skills to create and manage client events.


What You Will Do:


Strategic Client Development:

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to forge new connections and nurture existing client relationships.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of business development dynamics, identifying opportunities for growth. Collaborate with the Communications team to implement public relations strategies for positive media exposure, thought leadership pieces and campaigns in the Life Sciences field.

  • Contribute to strategic submissions for rankings and awards within the Life Sciences sector for CA submissions.

  • Collaborate with the Communications team to implement public relations strategies for positive media exposure, thought leadership pieces and campaigns in the Life Sciences field.

  • Contribute to strategic submissions for rankings and awards within the Life Sciences sector for CA submissions.

  • Work with Partners to help them prepare responses to RFPs/RFIs and pitch requests specific.


Initiative Development and Execution:

  • Work collaboratively with partners to develop and execute business development initiatives that align with life sciences practice goals.

  • Demonstrate strategic thinking across the board to ensure initiatives drive tangible results.

  • Track results and provide updates on business development activities within the Life Sciences practice for relevant initiatives.

  • Participate in cross-BU and cross-geography relevant initiatives, with a specific focus on Life Sciences and Healthcare.


Data Analysis and Client Targeting:

  • Analyze market data and industry trends to identify potential clients for targeted pursuits.

  • Utilize data-driven insights to tailor client development strategies and enhance targeting precision.


Client Event Management:

  • Identify partnership opportunities and events for the CA team to participate or host.

  • Apply client development skills to conceptualize, plan, and execute client event.

  • Negotiate contracts, speaking slots, and related benefits within the Life Sciences context in CA market.

  • Ensure seamless execution of events, fostering engagement and relationship-building opportunities.


Who You Are:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in marketing and business development for service providers.

  • Previous experience in the Life Sciences or Healthcare sector strongly preferred.

  • Some managerial experience preferred.

  • Minimum BA, BS, or equivalent degree.

  • Proven track record in client development and business development roles.

  • Strong strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to contribute to the development of long-term business strategies.

  • Proficient in data analysis tools and techniques for targeted client pursuits.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain client relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to create and manage successful client events.

  • Professional communication and writing skills with attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM tools a plus.

  • Required to travel other Goodwin offices. Travel approximately 25% but could be more.

  • Event Management Skills: Proficient in creating and running client events, fostering opportunities for relationship-building and business development.
