Managed Care Leadership Development Program Intern Looking for an internship program where you'll make a real difference - rather than just completing busy work? Then you've come to the right place. Where You'll Work This internship will be a 10 week immersive experience in the Managed Care Leadership Development Program (MCLDP) that will provide exposure to a variety of business units and functions in The The Cigna Group's Government Business Segment. You will have the opportunity to drive complex projects and deliver high value and sustainable results. Additionally, the MCLDP Internship will prepare you for the potential to have an accelerated career trajectory within the MCLDP full time program and The Cigna Group's Government Business Segment. This intern position will be full time and accommodates flexible work arrangements in the office and work from home. It's a fast-paced organization, and we're looking for future leaders in the health services space, who are not afraid to ask questions and drive results. Location: You must be located near the area of Nashville, TN (500 Great Circle Road) - Housing will not be offered for this internship. Schedule: You must be available to work a 40-hour work week starting May 20th - August 9th. What You'll Do Analyze business goals, objectives, and needs Support a MCLDP program workgroup with critical tasks Support a project within The Cigna Group's Government Business segment related to Medicare Advantage, CareAllies, network contracting, risk adjustment, sales, or Individual and Family Plans Help design business processes and make recommendations for improvement Perform research and analysis in support of operations Assist in resolving business issues using systems and data Estimate costs and benefits of multiple actions and provide recommendations Help launch new initiatives Qualifications Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or graduate program in Business, Healthcare, Life Sciences or Data Science with an expected graduation date of December 2024 - May 2025 If your major does not fall within one of the previously mentioned fields, please submit a cover letter explaining why you are passionate about health services and interested in pursuing a career with the MCLDP Prefer cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher A self-starter who is eager to learn and acquire new skills Strong attention to details and ability to connect dots across a matrixed organization Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong business aptitude and problem solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) Preference or interest in a future career within the MCLDP and the Government Business Segment Key competencies: Communicates Effectively Financial Acumen Tech Savvy Collaborates Resourcefulness This role is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
