Job Summary:Our Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive machine service to ensure continuous operations. Major Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintain all process rooms and related equipment
- Installs new process and related equipment
- Performs scheduled equipment preventive maintenance
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
- Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines and systems
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Perform work orders as assigned
- Comply with OSHA safety and health rules
- Completes work using power tools and shop tools
- Maintains good housekeeping practices
- Documents all related maintenance in applicable logs
- Completes required paperwork such as work orders, spare parts lists, and other cGMP paperwork
- Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management
- This position requires on-call status periodically on off hours and days.
Qualifications:
- One year of related mechanical or building experience
- Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude to work with various tools and machines
- Good math skills for measuring and cutting
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, bend, stoop, crawl, climb, and twist throughout the shift
- Detail Oriented
- Ability to learn cGMP and Safety programs.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 55 lbs.
- Climb ladders and/or stairs
- Crawl, bend, twist, carry, reach, and kneel throughout shift
- Push and/or pull up to 100 lbs.
- Stand and/or walk for extended periods
- Work with and/or around chemicals and/or hazardous materials
- Repeating motion that may include arms, wrists, hands, and fingers
- Ability to see and distinguish color
- Work in seasonal conditions that may include extreme hot, cold, wind, and precipitation
Work Hours:
- Non-Exempt Position; Monday to Friday 3 pm to 11:30 pm; Occasional off-shift work
- Minimum of 40-45 Hours per Week, or other agreed-upon documented schedule
- This position requires occasional travel to and working from other BioSpectra facilities, as well as occasional off-shift work
