Job Summary:Our Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive machine service to ensure continuous operations. Major Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all process rooms and related equipment
  • Installs new process and related equipment
  • Performs scheduled equipment preventive maintenance
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
  • Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines and systems
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Perform work orders as assigned
  • Comply with OSHA safety and health rules
  • Completes work using power tools and shop tools
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices
  • Documents all related maintenance in applicable logs
  • Completes required paperwork such as work orders, spare parts lists, and other cGMP paperwork
  • Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management
  • This position requires on-call status periodically on off hours and days.

Qualifications:

  • One year of related mechanical or building experience
  • Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude to work with various tools and machines
  • Good math skills for measuring and cutting
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, bend, stoop, crawl, climb, and twist throughout the shift
  • Detail Oriented
  • Ability to learn cGMP and Safety programs.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Climb ladders and/or stairs
  • Crawl, bend, twist, carry, reach, and kneel throughout shift
  • Push and/or pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Stand and/or walk for extended periods
  • Work with and/or around chemicals and/or hazardous materials
  • Repeating motion that may include arms, wrists, hands, and fingers
  • Ability to see and distinguish color
  • Work in seasonal conditions that may include extreme hot, cold, wind, and precipitation

Work Hours:

  • Non-Exempt Position; Monday to Friday 3 pm to 11:30 pm; Occasional off-shift work
  • Minimum of 40-45 Hours per Week, or other agreed-upon documented schedule
  • This position requires occasional travel to and working from other BioSpectra facilities, as well as occasional off-shift work
