We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair the physical infrastructure of our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance and repair duties to ensure the proper operation and safety of our buildings and grounds.
Position Information: Part-Time, Schedule: Tue-Thu = 10:30a - 6:30p, Fri - Sat = 5:00a - 2:00p, 18.00 hourly rate.
Key Responsibilities for a Maintenance Technician :
- Receive and complete work orders for maintenance and repairs
- Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems and equipment
- Perform general upkeep tasks such as painting, light fixture replacement, faucet/hardware repairs, and other miscellaneous fixes
- Identify and address potential safety hazards in the parking lot, sidewalks, and pathways
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance according to manufacturer specifications
- Monitor and adjust systems on a daily basis to maintain optimal performance
- Utilize snow removal equipment and supplies to keep walkways clear during inclement weather
- Replace worn or damaged parts in machines and equipment as needed
- Communicate supply needs and job status to supervisors in a timely manner
- Provide assistance to other departments with moving furniture and handling deliveries
Qualifications for a Maintenance Technician:
- 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance or building operations role
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems
- Ability to read and follow verbal/written instructions, work under pressure, and multitask
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including on-call hours for urgent matters
- Professional appearance and friendly, customer-service oriented attitude
