Salary: $26 - $33 per hour

We are North Americas leader recycling. We take commodities in the market and turn them into a useful resource.

We are looking to hire a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift (6-2:30pm) and 2nd shift (2:30-11pm). The ideal candidate will hit the ground running and be familiar with working in this type of recycling environment.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure optimal operation.
2. Implement and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program, including scheduling regular maintenance, documenting procedures and results, and tracking equipment lifespan.
3. Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
4. Collaborate with the engineering team to understand and mitigate recurring issues and improve machinery performance.
5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
6. Train other staff members on proper maintenance procedures and potential equipment issues.
7. Provide emergency repairs promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
8. Recommend upgrades or replacements for old or inefficient equipment.
9. Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment, and place orders as necessary.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance as a Technician
2. Technical degree or certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
3. Proven experience with troubleshooting and repairing conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics
4. Extensive knowledge of and experience with implementing preventative maintenance programs.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.
6. Proficient in using various tools, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear and understandable way.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
9. Strong commitment to safety and compliance with all safety regulations.
10. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
