Job DetailsWe are seeking a highly skilled Permanent Maintenance Technician with a strong background in meat processing and packaging to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in PLC and electrical troubleshooting, machine repair, and preventative maintenance. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on processing and packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC issues as they arise
- Conduct preventative maintenance on all machinery to prevent breakdowns and prolong equipment life
- Work closely with production staff to identify and address equipment issues in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe work environment for all employees
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in meat processing and packaging maintenance
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree preferred
