Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food and beverage manufacturing plant. This is a permanent position, offering stability and growth opportunities within our organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform regular maintenance and repair tasks on plant production equipment, including packaging equipment, conveyors, and boilers.
2. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to identify and address potential equipment issues before they become major problems.
3. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions, utilizing your expertise in food manufacturing, beverage manufacturing, and CPG industries.
4. Collaborate with the production team to minimize downtime and maximize productivity by promptly addressing equipment breakdowns.
5. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring it meets safety and quality standards.
6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and equipment performance.
7. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
8. Continuously improve your knowledge and skills through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in the food manufacturing, beverage manufacturing, CPG, or related industries.
2. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with a deep understanding of plant production equipment and processes.
3. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical malfunctions in packaging equipment, conveyors, and boilers.
4. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
5. Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure.
7. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
8. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members and provide clear instructions.
9. Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
10. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or trade school education in mechanical or electrical fields are preferred.
