Akkodis is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a Contract position with a client located in Chesterfield, MO. We are looking for individuals with 1 year of experience as a technician in a manufacturing facility on the mechanical or electrical or industrial side.
Pay Range is up to $25 an hour on a W2 Contract
Job Description:
The candidate will primarily be responsible for organizing technical documentation and operational procedures, performing audits on equipment locations and parts inventory as required for business operations. You will provide diagnostics, repairs, and modifications of laboratory automation. You will install, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and modify lab automation or systems and electronic, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic systems, which support various laboratories. Key competencies include strong mechanical aptitude, results orientation, customer focus, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
This role is open for the following shift:
Monday- Friday Day Shift (approx. 9am-6pm)
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
1 year of relevant experience such as manufacturing, machine operator or similar roles.
Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology is preferred but not a requirement.
Prefer experience reading machine schematics, computer interfacing for system set-up and troubleshooting, and computerized maintenance systems to complete work orders as necessary.
Must be comfortable running and troubleshooting automation independently with little guidance on this shift. Engineers with electrical/technical aptitudes are encouraged to apply.
