We are currently seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Permanent Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing operations in the Engineering industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the performance of manufacturing equipment, with a focus on ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all machinery. This role is critical to maintaining the high-quality standards of our products and ensuring the smooth running of our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of manufacturing equipment to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with PLCs and Drives, VFD, Mechanical, Industrial hydraulics, and pneumatics systems.
  • Diagnose failures of machines and recommend solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs, keeping detailed records of maintenance performed.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and implement improvements to equipment and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed and perform scheduled maintenance assignments.
  • Assist in the training of less experienced technicians and operators on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with PLCs and Drives, VFD, Mechanical, Preventative Maintenance, Industrial hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety rules and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently as well.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Proven track record of reliability and responsibility.
  • Completion of a relevant technical or vocational training program is preferred.
  • Certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems would be a plus.
