SUMMARY:


To work in an effective and supportive manner with shift members to coordinate daily Maintenance operations and continuous improvement. Perform general maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on all manufacturing and facility equipment as needed. Assist with installation and start-up of manufacturing equipment. Work closely with production personnel to resolve issues and improve productivity and quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Utilization of vendors.
  • Able to read electrical schematics, diagrams and blueprints.
  • Provide electrical troubleshooting on all production equipment.
  • Rack building and welding and fabricating.
  • General building maintenance.
  • Moving office furniture.
  • Mechanical repairs and modifications of equipment.
  • Installation of various piping for compressed air and chilled process water.
  • Troubleshooting industrial equipment.
  • Move and installation of industrial equipment.
  • Help maintain an inventory of necessary supplies by keeping Production Manager aware of usage and possible requirements
  • Keep a detailed record of all preventive maintenance, adjustments, and repairs to each machine.
  • Will be able to work overtime/weekends and sometimes on short notice.
  • Understanding of motor controls, VFDs, drives, relay logic.
  • Install and maintain all safety features as required on all machinery and equipment.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:


Electro-Mechanical Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; with 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Understanding of Industrial equipment mechanics.
  • Wire-feed and TIG welding. Carpentry.
  • Forklifting driving and scissor lift work platform use.
  • Machining and fabrication. Pipefitting of PVC, threaded, and rolled groove pipe.
  • Electrical troubleshooting of industrial equipment, facility wiring and lighting fixtures.
  • Troubleshooting of PLCs and VFDs. Electrical Power Distribution.
  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets, technical procedures and manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software.
