Want to make your mark? We are seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join our community. A successful Maintenance Technician II plays a vital role in the property's day to day impression on existing and prospective residents. Would be expected to maintain a high level of quality customer service and professionalism while ensuring that all Benchmark maintenance policies and procedures are consistently followed.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs general maintenance work (light electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.)
  • Understands the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous waste
  • Maintains chemicals in accordance with product or supervisor instruction
  • Works effectively within the work-order system

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Familiar with Key Kard Access Controls
  • Familiar with Skilled Nursing Facilities Environment and DPH Regulations
  • Familiar with Building Management Control Systems
  • Available for After Hour Emergencies
  • Demonstrates the interest and ability to learn new skills and techniques as needed
  • Demonstrates proper usage of chemicals and equipment


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE- CERTIFICATICATION

  • Understands the practices surrounding proper handling of bio hazardous waste
  • Familiar with emergency procedures if chemicals are misused
  • Demonstrates the interest and ability to learn new skills and techniques as needed
  • Demonstrates proper usage of chemicals and equipment
  • Experience as apprentice or licensure in a trade: ie electrician, HVAC, plumbing
  • 6 months experience as Maintenance Technician I
  • Must be physically able to move at least 50lbs without assistance, and have the ability to bend, reach, kneel, and stand for long periods.
