Maintenance Tech

Job Description:

Perform routine maintenance and repair on support equipment such as cooling towers air compressors, dryer, boilers, chillers, cooling towers etc. Perform routine maintenance on designated schedules and document all work performed. Respond to mechanical malfunctions to keep laboratory downtime to a minimum. Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors, lead personnel and project leaders; be willing to work alone or alongside other shop personnel. Must be able to learn to install steel/PVC pipe plumbing. Must be willing to learn some welding and fabrication as necessary. Must be able o work overtime, holidays and weekends as necessary. Must learn to safely operate common laboring tools as well as shop equipment such as drill press, band saw, metal shears and ironworkers.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must have HS Diploma or Equivalent

Must have 1 years minim experience in Carpentry, Mechanical, electrical maintenance work

Must have basic skills and previous experience in carpentry, mechanical, electrical or maintenance work is preferred

Some on the job training or formal vocational classes that taught basic mechanical skills is preferred

Must be capable of working alone or alongside other shop personnel to perform routine maintenance or repairs

MVR is required

Steel toed shoes are required

Dress Code: Uniforms will be provided

Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm and overtime as needed
